WHAT TAKES THE STAGE

More than merchandise. A record of the culture.

The Stage brings together the different forms a SWOLE(ish) idea can take—from the original illustration to the finished apparel and the story that connects them.

ILLUSTRATIONS

COLLECTIONS

Ideas connected by a theme

Groups of designs centered on common experiences, gym etiquette, humor, progress, identity, and the people who make the culture what it is.

Warming Up

Strong enough to keep it real

Work that challenges stereotypes, avoids manufactured gym personas, and makes room for people to belong without performing an identity.

Warming Up

The next story has not stepped out yet

New concepts are still being developed from real observations, shared experiences, and the strange things that keep happening on gym floors.

Backstage

INSPIRED BY THE CULTURE

Some stories are observed. Some are shared.

SWOLE(ish) designs may begin with something witnessed in the gym, a personal experience, a conversation, a submitted story, or a familiar situation that exists throughout gym culture.

Not every design represents a single real event, and no person should be identifiable from the finished work. The goal is to portray the experience—not expose the individual.

We do not manufacture gym culture. We portray it.

THE CREATIVE PROCESS

From gym-floor moment to finished release.

A SWOLE(ish) release is developed by identifying the experience first and choosing the product only after the story is clear.

01 — OBSERVE

Find the recognizable moment

The process begins with a situation, feeling, frustration, joke, lesson, or act of kindness people inside the gym will recognize.

03 — RELEASE

Give the story a physical form

The finished illustration becomes apparel or another release that allows the shared experience to continue beyond the original design.
